What's going on with me right now.
I learned about the "now page" from Derek Sivers. I liked the idea, so I'm trying it out for myself. My intent is to share what's happening in my life right now, then update as needed in the future to reflect my current situation.

Writing
I'm writing about Ohio — specifically about economic development, energy policy, and what communities in the Ohio Valley are getting (and not getting) from the deals being made on their behalf. I have an op-ed in the works and a Substack called "Nobody Important" in development. I'm also working on a longer project — part memoir, part history of Mount Pleasant and the region I come from. More to come on all of it.
Going home
I'm planning a move back to the Ohio Valley. I grew up in Mount Pleasant, Ohio, and I've been away too long. I don't have all the details figured out yet, but the direction is clear.
Music
Still teaching guitar at Eikenberry Music Studio. Still writing songs. I didn't hit my goal of recording and releasing a song by the end of 2025, but the songs are better for the extra time. "Socks" is the closest to done. I'm also playing out again — something I hadn't done in years.
Family
Still a husband and dad. Still the best part.
